Health Screening FAQs

Your questions about health screenings answered.

A health screening is a preventative check-up that helps detect potential health issues before they become serious. It usually includes a physical exam, various tests, and personal health assessments.

Health screenings are recommended for adults aged 18 and over. Specific tests may vary based on age, gender, and family history, so it’s best to consult with your healthcare provider.

Common tests include blood pressure checks, cholesterol and glucose tests, and body mass index assessment. Additional screenings may be performed based on individual risk factors.

The frequency of health screenings varies. Generally, annual screenings are recommended, but your healthcare provider may suggest a different schedule based on your health and risk factors.

If you have specific health concerns or symptoms, it’s essential to discuss these with your provider. They can tailor the screening to address your individual needs and risks.

No fasting is required

Please notify our staff if you are menstruating on the day of your health screening. It is recommended to schedule your appointment for 10-14 days after the start of your last period. Although you can proceed with the screening as planned, be aware that menstruation may affect the results of the CA125 tumor marker and may also cause the presence of blood in the urine or stool.
